2026 Concussion Training Information

Ohio requires all coaches, referees, and other athletic participants to complete concussion awareness training every 3 years.

SCSA accepts either of the following free online training courses:

• NFHS Concussion in Sports Course

• CDC Heads Up Concussion Training

After completing the course, save or print your certificate of completion for your records.

Additional Information

• Athletes suspected of having a concussion must be removed from play immediately.
• Athletes may not return to play the same day.
• Medical clearance is required before returning to participation.
